Privacy Policy
QR Attendance is designed to keep attendance simple while leaving the organisation in control of its own data.
What the app uses
When QR Attendance is configured by an organisation, it may process a username, numeric login PIN, a device identifier, attendance date and time, Wi‑Fi BSSID, QR token, and attendance status. The app uses these details to verify the member, bind the account to one device, check the approved work network, and record attendance.
Where data is stored
Attendance data is sent to the Google Apps Script web app selected by the organisation and stored in that organisation’s Google Sheet. QR Attendance does not provide a shared central attendance database. The spreadsheet owner controls access, retention, and deletion.
How data is used
- To authenticate a predefined staff account.
- To prevent the same account being used from an unapproved device.
- To validate the fixed QR code and approved Wi‑Fi network.
- To show the member’s attendance history and current-month summary.
We do not sell attendance information or use it for advertising. The app does not require contact lists, photos, microphone access, or location history. Location/GPS may need to be enabled on Android so the phone can expose the connected Wi‑Fi BSSID; the app uses that value only for attendance validation.
Your organisation’s choices
The organisation that supplied your app link is the data controller for its attendance records. Ask that organisation to correct or remove records, clear a device binding, or explain its retention policy. Removing the app or clearing its data removes the local app link, session, and device identifier from the phone; it does not delete records already stored in the organisation’s Sheet.
Children and changes
QR Attendance is a workplace tool and is not directed to children. We may update this page when the app or its data practices change. The latest version will always be posted here.
